Which group thank-you card site is best for charities?

  • A charity comparing discounted rates

Start with a Thankbox quote. Its published school and charity discount could change the comparison, but the size of that discount needs confirmation.

  • An organiser who wants a printed keepsake

GroupGreeting includes a PDF for the recipient. Choose a card count you expect to use within its 12-month period.

  • Individual thanks after several events

tbf work packs let you schedule a card for each recipient. Count people receiving cards separately from the number signing them.

  • Volunteer video contributions

Kudoboard Premium lists uploaded and recorded videos. A team with more than 100 posts needs its Milestone tier or another option.

Count cards before buying a pack

A community event with eight volunteers does not automatically need eight cards. Decide whether the volunteers are signing or receiving.

What you are arrangingRecipient countPurchase to compare
Eight volunteers sign for one departing coordinator1One single card or board
Each of eight volunteers receives their own thanks8A small card pack, including any unused balance
Three events each thank ten different volunteers30Pack totals and charity quotes for thirty cards
Three hundred donors receive the same acknowledgement300A donor mailing service rather than these individual group cards

Planning examples, not measured charity behaviour. Each example counts recipients receiving their own card rather than people adding messages.

Thank volunteers without another obligation

A thank-you does not need a collection.

If volunteers have already given their time or paid travel costs, let them sign without contributing money and keep any optional present separate from the invitation.

Include the people behind the event.

The driver, setup crew and occasional volunteer may miss the final gathering, so check your recipient list against the work people actually did rather than who attended the closing photo.

Avoid names or photographs of service users.

Use an agreed contact route for the card and keep volunteer thanks separate from fundraising messages. Adding somebody to a card is not a reason to add them to a mailing list.

Pick a design

  • A trophy. Thank you. We'd give you a trophy but the budget went on biscuits.
  • Marker lettering with a highlighter stroke. Thank you for answering the same question four times.
  • Lino-cut lettering in a printed band. Thank you, from all of us.
  • A cake. Thank you. There's cake in the kitchen. It's for you. We've had some.
  • A book. Thank you for teaching them to read.
  • Marker lettering. Thank you for saving us. "helping" is crossed out and "saving" written above it.
  • A star. Thank you. Gold star, no notes.
  • A heart. Thank you. Honestly.
  • Marker lettering with a highlighter stroke. Thank you. We noticed.
  • Pop thanks card. Thank you.

Questions

Which group card site offers a charity discount?

Thankbox advertises additional discounts for charities. Get a quote before comparing it with the standard prices above.

Are these cards suitable for thanking donors in bulk?

They are primarily cards that a group signs for individual recipients. A standard acknowledgement sent to a donor list needs a separate mailing workflow.

Do volunteers have to add money to sign?

A thank-you card can be organised without a collection. If you add an optional gift, make that choice separate from contributing a message.

Why does pack expiry matter for a small charity?

GroupGreeting says unused cards expire after twelve months. Count the occasions you expect within that period before buying a larger pack.
