Slush 2026
The people on stage are rarely the whole team. Use the trip to recognise the work behind the product without turning the card into a pitch.
Ask the people who built and tested it to write to the colleague who brought it together. Include the work done before anyone booked a flight.
Support and operations may keep the company running while the founders travel. Include them in the thanks instead of making the event the whole story.
Gather a card from your own attendees after a dinner, workshop or meetup. Let the organiser choose whether to share it beyond that group.
A card can come from the founders who benefited from the conversation. Keep confidential fundraising, investor and customer information out of the messages.
If you know who helped, ask for a suitable delivery route. Do not scrape a volunteer list or use a thank you as an excuse for a marketing invitation.
The organiser’s list
Choose the recipient and share the writing link while the work is still fresh. Set the card to open after the return trip.
AI safety checks
The check looks for threats, abuse, sexual content, spam and exposed private details. Flagged notes are kept off the card for a person to review.
How the checks work ↗AI does not write, complete or rewrite a colleague’s message.
Company cards have a spam folder for managers and admins. On a card bought without an account, the creator reviews set aside notes through their manage link.
AI can miss a note or flag one wrongly. If the check is unavailable, writing still works.
Notes are sent to TypeSafe for the check. Names and card access codes are left out of that request.
Read the privacy notice ↗From an occasion to a card
Pick a cover, name the recipient and choose when it opens. You can buy one card without a company account.
Colleagues contribute in a browser. Each person writes and signs their own message.
The messages arrive together in one card. The recipient reads it on their phone.
For repeated birthdays, work anniversaries, welcomes and leaving days, use a company account with Slack and BambooHR.
