AI checks. Human review. Your own words. ↓9 to 12 November 2026

Web Summit 2026
A conference trip has more people behind it than the ones wearing the passes. Decide who the card is for before you share its writing link.
Make one card for the colleague who ran the stand. Ask the people who worked alongside them to add their own words, including the team back at home.
If someone hosted your dinner or meetup, gather messages from your own group. Share the finished card directly with the host rather than posting their details publicly.
Ask your colleagues who attended the talk to contribute. Keep the card separate from a pitch, a request for an introduction or a list of sales contacts.
Include setup, support and the people who covered the office while you travelled. Recognition does not have to stop at the people who went to Lisbon.
Leave space for colleagues to write once they are home. Choose an opening date after the trip, when the recipient has time to read it.
The organiser’s list
Keep your conference plan and your thank you plan separate. The event organiser handles tickets and entry; you handle your team’s card.
AI safety checks
The check looks for threats, abuse, sexual content, spam and exposed private details. Flagged notes are kept off the card for a person to review.
How the checks work ↗AI does not write, complete or rewrite a colleague’s message.
Company cards have a spam folder for managers and admins. On a card bought without an account, the creator reviews set aside notes through their manage link.
AI can miss a note or flag one wrongly. If the check is unavailable, writing still works.
Notes are sent to TypeSafe for the check. Names and card access codes are left out of that request.
Read the privacy notice ↗From an occasion to a card
Pick a cover, name the recipient and choose when it opens. You can buy one card without a company account.
Colleagues contribute in a browser. Each person writes and signs their own message.
The messages arrive together in one card. The recipient reads it on their phone.
For repeated birthdays, work anniversaries, welcomes and leaving days, use a company account with Slack and BambooHR.
