World Teachers’ Day

Thanks across the timetable.

Choose whether this is a card from staff, families or an adult learning group. Different groups need different invitations and different care with personal details.

  1. 01

    A colleague who mentored you

Invite the staff they helped. Ask contributors to use their own experience without sharing a pupil’s name, circumstances or learning records.

  2. 02

    The staff behind a department

Teaching assistants, cover staff and support colleagues may share the work. Include them when the card is for the people who made the term possible.

  3. 03

    A teacher moving schools

Use the day to organise a card before they leave, or use a leaving card for their actual last day. Keep the two dates clear to contributors.

  4. 04

    A team on different contracts

Part-time and supply colleagues may miss a staff meeting. A browser writing link lets them contribute without being in the room at the same time.

  5. 05

    A professional learning group

An adult training cohort can thank a tutor together. Let each participant choose what to share rather than collecting a standard message from everyone.

The organiser’s list

Before 5 October.

A card is separate from a school’s safeguarding and communication rules. Use the routes your organisation has agreed for inviting contributors.

  • Choose the adult recipient and the writing group.
  • Keep pupils’ personal information out of notes.
  • Give part-time staff time to contribute.
  • Pick an opening date and delivery route.
  • Review flagged notes before the card closes.

AI safety checks

People write.
AI checks.

The check looks for threats, abuse, sexual content, spam and exposed private details. Flagged notes are kept off the card for a person to review.

How the checks work ↗
01

Your own words

AI does not write, complete or rewrite a colleague’s message.

02

A person can correct it

Company cards have a spam folder for managers and admins. On a card bought without an account, the creator reviews set aside notes through their manage link.

03

The limits are clear

AI can miss a note or flag one wrongly. If the check is unavailable, writing still works.

04

Check the data policy

Notes are sent to TypeSafe for the check. Names and card access codes are left out of that request.

From an occasion to a card

Give them
everyone’s words.

  1. 01

    Create the card

Pick a cover, name the recipient and choose when it opens. You can buy one card without a company account.

  2. 02

    Share the writing link

Colleagues contribute in a browser. Each person writes and signs their own message.

  3. 03

They open it on the day

The messages arrive together in one card. The recipient reads it on their phone.

For repeated birthdays, work anniversaries, welcomes and leaving days, use a company account with Slack and BambooHR.
